This year, 2020, will mark the 150th anniversary of the establishment of St Mary’s Parish Concord. A church and school had existed on the present parish site from the 1840s. St Mary’s Concord was established as a separate parish in 1870 with the appointment of Fr Callaghan McCarthy as the first parish priest. The celebrations planned for Sunday 3 May 2020 have been cancelled. The dates for the other parish celebrations are being reviewed in the light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
