Celebrating our Sesquicentenary 1870 – 2020
Welcome to St Mary’s Catholic Church, Concord
Our Vision is to make Christ present in our parish, in our local community and in our world.
Our Mission is to know Christ and to make him known; to be a community committed to discovering Christ present in each person. We proclaim the Gospel through our ministry to each other, our service to the wider community, the joyful celebration of the Eucharist and other sacraments, and our active concern for social justice.
|COVID-19 PANDEMIC (updated 30 May 2020)|
|St Mary’s Parish is following the restrictions for Stage 1 of the “Road to Recovery” that have been set out in the revised NSW Government Public Health (COVID-19 Restrictions on Gathering and Movement) Order (No 2) 2020 under the Public Health Act 2010, 14 May 2020 |
From 1 June it is now possible for 50 people to be in a church. However, strict health regulations still apply.
There must be a responsible person present whenever the church is open to supervise visitors. That person must record the names and contact details of all visitors. The health regulations also require the church to be cleaned after every visitor. The same regulations apply to Masses.
Without that level of supervision it is not possible to leave the church open during the day. Because Fr Paul Crowley, who is the only priest available at St Mary’s, will be away on his annual leave from 8 June, Sunday Masses at St Mary’s Concord will not resume until 5 July. Details will be confirmed closer to that date.

All parish events and programs remain suspended. To help you to keep in touch with parish news please regularly visit this website.
FACEBOOK: For those on Facebook we have created a private Facebook group called St Mary’s Parish Concord to enable members of the parish to share news. Anyone can search for the group and then ask to join. There is also a Facebook page called “St Mary’s Parish Church Concord” – please note the different name. It was an “unofficial” page that Facebook had created. The parish has now been able to claim that page as a general parish Facebook page as well as maintaining the Facebook group.
Contacting the Parish: The parish phones have recently been upgraded and voice mail is available. However, the former message tree is not available. If your phone call is not answered, please leave a clear voicemail message.
You can also contact the parish by email: firstname.lastname@example.org.

SCAM ALERT: We have been advised that a scam is targeting parishes. It appears to be a request to give to the parish through an online company or group. A more recent version is a request in an email that appears to come from the parish. We are not sending email requests to parishioners. Please ignore any requests you receive and only use the donate facility on the SUPPORT US button at the top of this home page.
