Celebrating our Sesquicentenary 1870 – 2020
Welcome to St Mary’s Catholic Parish Community, Concord
Our Vision is to make Christ present in our parish, in our local community and in our world.
Our Mission is to know Christ and to make him known; to be a community committed to discovering Christ present in each person. We proclaim the Gospel through our ministry to each other, our service to the wider community, the joyful celebration of the Eucharist and other sacraments, and our active concern for social justice.
|IMPORTANT NOTICES (updated 3 October 2020)|
|St Mary’s Parish is following the restrictions that have been set out by the latest NSW Government Public Health (COVID-19) Order. |
All churches are now limited to 100 people at a Mass or a Funeral. The number for a Wedding has recently been extended to 150 if the church can accommodate that number. The physical distancing “4 square metre rule” still applies.
The number of people at any Mass at St Mary’s Concord remains limited to 100.
Attendance at our Sunday Masses has been slowly increasing over the past two weeks. The 9.30 am Mass attendance has been approaching 100; the Vigil and Sunday 6.00 pm are averaging 60 to 70 at each Mass. There is still no need to book. However, now that daylight saving has commenced some who wish to join us, may consider coming to an evening Mass. If we reach 100 at any Mass, the doors will be closed.
All those entering the church must record their name and contact details (phone or email) on the forms at the church doors.
It is important that anyone who is unwell remains at home. Registration is not required but please note that if we do reach our limit the church doors will be closed for that Mass. Last Sunday the number at each Mass was within our limit. All who wish to attend are welcome.
MASSES IN ST MARY’S CHURCH – Sunday Masses: Saturday 6.00 pm, Sunday 9.30 am and 6.00 pm. Weekday Masses: (Monday-Friday) at 8.30 am.
The church will be open for private prayer on Sunday after the 9.30 am Mass until 12 noon and on Monday to Friday from 9.00 am until 12 noon.
The church is fitted with CCTV and images are recorded for the purpose of preventing crime and public safety.
